Quite boring...

...If it wasn't for the SOAD music (if i'm not mistaken) I would have probably dozed off 15 seconds into the movie. The Graphics weren't bad, nice to see the 3d effect of the greetings card, but otherwise, it was like some personal torture for me.

Needless to say, In my opinion the song doesn't really fit the theme, although the graphics just about made up for it. Not much to say on humour though...

I Can't say it didn't deserve turd of the week...

...although it had the bare foundations of a funny cartoon (eg. "Damn them all").

If you added more animation, maybe some sounds and a better story, you could be on to something.

I didn't understand it...

...You're not going to make a good argument against animé if you don't say what it is you hate about animé, or by posting such a lame effort and you're not going to get any respect by abusing animé fans.

Is it because you can't draw like animé artists, or something else. If you're still puzzled try watching 'Mark's Teaching's of anime' (by Mark McPherson) and you might realise there's more to animé than the mainstream (eg. Dragonball Z). Animé that grown people aren't embarrased to watch.

I'm assuming this could be an I.T project - you can basically do anything on a computer and get a decent mark, so I can understand how this can get you an A+.

If this was for Geography or History, then you probably should have failed...

The Backgrounds were OK, but this had little to do with Japan; bar the flag, the pagoda and the music, and you could have included so much more - such as the food, religion, culture etc.

The movie was also very short for what it was worth, but a fairly OK movie.

I liked the graphics and sound...

This movie is well made - I liked the style of graphics.

I didn't even mind the fact that it is based on the death of Maurice Gibb, because if done properly, it can't be that sick, and I know that you don't hate the Bee Gees (having read a reply to a review).

So why did I give this movie a 4 for style and a 4 for Humor? - When you make the joke that Robin is gay - but they're brothers. That's Incest. We don't do that in England!

As my overall score suggests, however, I think that the movie isn't bad, I especially like the graphics (although they're not perfect).

I can't wait to read your response - don't let me down.

Okay, the long awaited response to your review is finally here.
First of all, you had said “don’t let me down” in your last review.

I don’t like being spoken to that way, it's not acceptable. “Please don’t let me down” would have worked much, much better.

If you liked the humor but had a problem with the incest (incest in england? How veddy shocking! My word! The veddy thought! Besides, the Beegees are Aussies, not English) you should have given the humor a higher mark and let your distaste for the incest be reflected in the OVERALL score. The graphics, as you say: “aren’t bad but are not perfect.”

I tried to bang this out as quickly as I could after Maurice “bit the big one”, so that it would be as current and relevant as possible. So, you're right there. I do deserve brownie points for doing this in 5 hours.
