I knew what the punchline was going to be..

...but I liked it.

I enjoyed watching that. Good job.

It kept me watching until the end.

Favourit'd for Christopher Walken Dead. And the many, many references (some of which I got!)

I think my favourite aspect of the movie was the direction - there was a lot of creativity in the various skits and segues that made up the music video. The animation to go with it all was top notch.

A perfect follow up to 'The Leperchaun'

So I went ahead and watched it again.

Most of my original review stands, but I'll recap.

The use of real life bitmaps wasn't that jarring and the music was well suited for the mood of the movie.

It did seem to drag on a bit too much though. I did notice that the stage was no longer visible behind the starfield. One thing I did pick up on this time (another minor nitpick) was that the crowd of aliens was poorly composed. They were standing in awkward positions.

One more major issue was that there didn't seem to be a punchline. When I was writing my original review, I jotted down a note in the review box, and as the movie ended, I thought I missed the joke. It could be that your joke is implicit, but personally, I can't see what the joke was supposed to be - the movie just ended.

Like I say, it's a very long movie, with not a lot going on, and the payoff doesn't seem to be worth it.

Otherwise, I thought this was a pretty good.

EddLioni responds:

Yes, the animation is implicit. There is not really a joke (guess people are used to seing funny things in newgrounds), but the movie holds an irony. I don't wan't to give it away but the irony centers on the empty coca-cola can, I let the viewer put a bit of thought in it.

Aniway, thank you very much for your review!

The animation was O.K. The characters seemed to lack legs, and they were blinking in unison.

I'm not quite sure what to think about the theme, but all in all, it was a nice movie. Don't give up.

JustAibi responds:

Thank you. They were. -__- I actually had a difficult time with making the gif's for their eyes. I realized later on that I could actually just create the blinking effect in flash if I turn the eyes into symbols. Hahaha. Silly me. XD
The animation? I'll work on improving it, thank you. :]
The theme is actually all mixed up. It first started as something I thought my boyfriend would like but when he suddenly told me that he wanted to end our relationship, I thought 'Why waste all my hard work? I want to give him something to remember me with, a parting gift, at least."
I was, and still am, actually kind of lost when I saw that the music didn't have time to load when I first played the movie here on Newgrounds. I'm still trying to figure loading screens out so please bear with me. ^^;

Once again, thank you for your review. I'll do my best to improve on my mistakes. <3

Oh god, I never thought I'd see a Robot Wars reference today.

Hilarious in places, mildly funny in others, and I detected a little surrealism as well. I was half expecting a twist or reveal. But in of itself, it was a good way of putting together a load of random little skits into one production. This "Can this Happen" game show was a good way to tie it all together is what I'm saying.

The animation istelf was lacking, and with moments where the characters are talking to camera, it could do with some body animation. Gestures. Nods and tilts of the head. It would add an awful lot to such scenes.

Unless you like voice acting female characters yourself, I'd recommend you get help from a female VA. Check out the forums under Community>Forums>Audio and look for the topic "Voice Actors Wanted" and I'm sure there'll be someone happy to help you out with that.

In summary, I did enjoy watching this and I do look forward to seeing how it will develop. I'm hoping there'll be some sort of arcing story that will develop from this premise, but honestly, I'd be just as happy with a collection of random funnies presented as you have with this movie.

Hope to see more soon.
