How lovely.

...

Subject matter aside, the animation and presentation was OK, but it could have done with a bit of set up.

A good idea, but slightly tempered by your overblown voice acting.

I really like how you made the sound clips low quality - a nice attention to detail.

I accept your proposal.

No backsies.

PhantomCat responds:

Sure thing honeybuns, but you'd better get me an AMAZING ring.

I think it's wonderful how you and your dad are working together on your animations. You display the seeds of a talented animator, while your father is a particularly talented voice actor. That's not to say I don't think your voice work was poor - quite the opposite. I'm sure your father's moral support was also important in contributing to the final piece as well.

My only criticism is that the end credits flash by too fast and that you use a very generic, almost ugly Times New Roman font.

I saw some good animation and direction in this piece, and am sure you'll continue to improve in the years to come. Incidentally, I see nothing wrong with emulating the style off Eddsworld as if you keep with animating, you'll eventually "grow" out of it anyway (as in develop a unique style).

Keep up the good work!

brynimation responds:

Yeah Thanks for the constructive critcism. I know that my credits are kind of lame. But thanks for taking the time to watch this and really think about the comment you wrote. Thanks for that. You are now officially awesome.
P.S: Yeah, my Dad has got an awesome voice :)

It could have done with a bit of action. Also, the voice acting seemed a tad half hearted.

I'll look forward to seeing the next episode though.

Absolutely dreadful. Please don't make any more of these.

Broken actionscript and riddled with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.

Specifically, the buttons to advance the text do not work and so I have to Right Click>Play through each segment.

Otherwise, the animation was pretty good for a sprite movie. It started off very slow, but the action scenes demonstrated at least some creativity with sprites.

My only advice is that you need to play around a bit more with the camera. I understand some sprites (particularly the ones you use - Megaman, Sonic and Mario) are drawn in such a way that some shots are impossible, but you could at least zoom and scroll during the action sequences. It would really make it that much more dynamic.

I'd probably need to watch the other episodes to get an idea what this is supposed to be about, but I've got no real desire to do that. It was full of cliche.

BUTTONS WORK FOR ME

I really don't know whether to take this seriously or not. It started out as a typical Liberal smear job, but it just degenerated into something even crazier.

But all in all, I found it entertaining, although the voice work irritated me a bit.

Not as good as Arfenhouse which you were clearly trying to emulate.

The dialogue was difficult to hear, and it didn't feel that funny, but I liked some of the error effects and it's nice to see an Arfenhouse inspired/parody flash movie after all these years.

minilinkki responds:

Of course it isn't! Arfenhouse is the golden example how to make good "shit".
And yes, you found out what i am trying to do. But the lack of randomess and low dialogue is caused by flash. I did fight with it over two days to get the sounds works. Maybe next time.

Anyway, thanks from the feedpack! Will try to get atleast 4/5 from you next time!

To be honest, this seemed to drag on forever, but then I have little interest in Skylanders, let alone Spyro.

However, I like your character design and animation techniques, and the voice work is very good too. All three complement each other brilliantly.
